Rosemary Balsam, MD is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the Yale Medicine School; staff psychiatrist in the Yale Department of Student Mental Health and Counseling, and a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis. Originally from Belfast, Ireland her interests include female gender developments, young adulthoods, the body in psychic life, and the work of Hans Loewald. Rosemary is an award winning writer, traveling lecturer, 2005 honor of the National WomanTravelling Scholar for APsaA, and the 2018 first time female winner of the Sigourney Award for excellence in the Advancement of Psychoanalysis.

Richard Gomberg, MD, is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. For the past ten years he has also been BPSI’s Director of Psychotherapy Training. “Attending CAPS-Aspen multiple times has invaluably enriched my analytic identity. Giuseppe Civitarese, MD, PhD is a training and supervising analyst of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society (SPI) and a member of the APsaA and the IPA.  He has written many articles and several books including The Intimate Room: Theory and Technique of the Analytic Field. He is the past-editor of Rivista di Psicoanalisi, the official journal of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society.

Nancy Winters, MD is a training and supervising analyst of the Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She is co-author of the upcoming book, Body as psychoanalytic object: clinical applications from Winnicott to Bion and beyond.
